Delhi – Varanasi – Khajuraho – Orchha – Jhansi – Gwalior – Agra – Jaipur – Delhi

Khajuraho TempleKhajuraho is one of the major cultural tourist destination of India famous for the its thousand year old temples artitecture, built by the chandella dynasty. These temple complex is only 22 temples remain today out of 70 odds. This festival is in March every year for a weeklong festival of dances.

Itinerary

1: Arrive Delhi

Arrival at the International airport. Meet and assist by our representative and transfer to hotel. Afternoon sight seeing of Delhi covering Qutab minar, Lotus temple, Red fort, India gate etc. Overnight at hotel.

2: Delhi – Varanasi

Morning after breakfast transfer to Airport to board the flight for Varanasi. On arrival meet and assist by our representative and transfer to hotel. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath – the Buddhist pilgrimage centre. It is the site where Lord Buddha had preached his first sermon or in religious language, set in motion the Wheel of Law (Maha-Dharmachakra-Pravartan) enshrining the principles of his teaching into laws. 200 years later, in 3rd century BC.

3: Varanasi

Early morning Boat Cruise on River Ganges. Afternoon visit Temple of Varanasi. Overnight at hotel.

4: Varanasi – Khajuraho

Morning free at leisure. Later board the flight for Khajuraho. On arrival transfer to hotel. Evening visit the dance festival in Temple complex. Overnight at hotel.

5: Khajuraho

Morning after breakfast leave for a hal ay sight seeing of Eastern and Southern group of Khajuraho temples carved with erotic sculpture related with life. Evening join the Khajuraho festival at the temples complex. Overnight at hotel.

6: Khajuraho

Morning at leisure and the proceed for half day sight seeing of western group of Khajuraho temples which includes Kandaryia Mahadeo, Chaunsat Yogini, Chitragupta temple, Vishwanath Temple and Matengeswara Temple. Evening to enjoy illuminated temples with the cultural folk lure. Overnight at hotel.

7: Khajuraho – Orchha – Jhansi

Morning drive to Jhansi. Enroute visit Orchha. Orchha is a village set among a wonderful complex of well preserved palaces and temples. The major attraction of the Orchha palace is the exteriors and the interiors that represent the finest flowering of the Bundela school of painting.

Later continue the drive for overnight in Jhansi.

8: Jhansi – Gwalior

Morning vist Jhansi fort and temple. Later drive to Gwalior. On arrival check in to hotel. Afternoon sight seeing of huge Gwalior fort situated on a high hill, Sas Bahu Ka Mandir, Jai Vilas Palace, Moti Mahal, Mansing Palace and the museum. Overnight at totel.

9: Gwalior – Agra

Morning after breakfast drive to Agra. On arrival check in to hotel. Fternoon visit the World famous tej Mahal, Red fort etc.

10: Agra – Jaipur

Morning drive to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri ( 235 Kms / 5 hours ) the deserted, sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the 16th century. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza the largest gateway in the world. On arrival check in to hotel.

11: Jaipur

Morning visit Amber Fort, is one that cannot be easily described. Ride up on Elephants to the former capital of the royals set against the backdrop of the wooded hills. Afternoon visit the Palace of Winds also known asAmber Fort Hawa Mahal, this elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world. Past, present and future merge at Jai Singh’s observatory, where time has been accurately measured since the 17th century. Evening visit Chokhi Dhani for Rajasthani Theme evening including VEGETARIAN SIT DOWN (ON THE FLOOR) DINNER. Overnight at hotel.

12: Jaipur – Delhi

Morning after a leisurely breakfast, drive back to Delhi to connect your Flt / train for onward journey.
