* 7 Nights Southern Splendour Golden Chariot train depart from Bangalore on Monday; covering Mamallipuram & Chennai (tue); Pondicherry (Wed); Trichy & Thanjavur (Thurs); Madurai (Fri); Trivandrum & Poovar (Sat); & kerala backwaters of kochi (sun)
Report by 4.30 pm in Lobby of Taj Westend Hotel for high tea & check in formalities OR option to report at nature resort for lunch & at leisure Evening enjoy culture program & proceed to Railway station to board Golden Chariot Train Dinner on board.train departs by 9.00 p.m.
Drive down from Mysore to Kabini River lodge for overnight stay & excursion by jeep/boat to Nagarhole Tiger Reserve.
The late 19th century built Mysore Palace & ruins of Srirangapatnam fort ,offer glimpses of bygone royal era.
The Hindu temples of Halebid & Belur are prime examples of skilled stone craftsmanship that existed in 16th century. You can also walk up steep steps to view giant monolith of Shravanabelagola.
