Itinerary

1: Arrive Mumbai

Arrive Mumbai International Airport. Meet and assist by our represenatative and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

2: Mumbai

Morning after breakfast, leave for for a city sight seeing of the commercial capital of India including the Gateway of India, is situated at Apollo Bunder – built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1911. Excursion on motorized boats across the Arabian Sea to the Elephanta Caves, which house several, sculptures and images sacred to the Hindu faith. Of special mention is the sculpture of the Holy Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva – the Creator, Preserver and the Destroyer.

Later in the afternoon visit the Hanging Gardens: The giant Old woman’s shoe in the Kamala Nehru Park is very popular with children to play in. One gets a panoramic view of parts of the city from these parks situated at the height of Malabar Hill which provide lovely views over the Arabian Sea.

3: Mumbai – Aurangabad

In the morning transfer to Airport to board flight for departure to Aurangabad. Arrive Aurangabad, pickup by or vehicle and transfer to hotel. After fresh and change, proceed for an excursion to Ellora.

4: Excursion To Ajanta

Take a relaxed breakfast in the morning at the hotel. Later proceed for an excursion to Ajanta Cave. Overnight at hotel at Aurangabad.

5: Aurangabad – Mumbai – Cochin

Morning transfer to Airport to board flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival at Mumbai Airport, board the flight for Cochin. Upon arrive at Cochin, meet our executive and transfer to hotel. The rest of the part of the day at leisure at the hotel. Free for independent activities at your own.

6: Cochin

In the morning after breakfast visit Fort Cochin including St Francis, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace & Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening visit the famous Kathakali Dance show.

7: Cochin – Alleppey

In the morning after breakfast, drive to Alleppey ( about 65 KM ). Upon arrival, check into the House Boat for a back water cruise into the canals of Vembanad Lake to see the traditional Kerala Village Life remained unchanged for many years. Overnight at House Boat ( you will be served all your meals in the house boat ).

8: Kumarakam – Kovalam

In the morning after breakfast, dis-embark from the house boat at Kumarakam, pickup by our car and drive to Kovalam. On arrival, check into the hotel. Kovalam is just 16 KM away from Trivandram. Thirty years ago Kovalam was a hippy idyll: a picture perfect tropical beach, a traditional fishing village providing fresh fish, fruits and Coconut beer.

Today Kovalam beach is known as the Paradise of the South & figures prominently on the world tourism map. The world Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees.

11: Kovalam – Kanya Kumari

After breakfast, drive to Kanya Kumari ( the southern most tip of peninsular India, where the waters of Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean & the Arabian See meet, a place from where one can see spectacular sun rise and also colourful sand.

On a little rocky island, just off the coast is the memorial to that great Indian Philosopher – Swami Vivekananda. He is supposed to have sat here in deep mediation in 1892. There is a long and colourful beach. Standing there you can see the sun set & the moon rise at the same time on a full-moon day. It is a rare sight.

Later in the afternoon, drive back to Kavalam for overnight stay.

12: Kanyakumari – Madurai

In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, drive to Madurai. Upon arrival at Madurai, check into the hotel for overnight stay.

13: Madurai

In the morning after breakfast visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopuram (rising high above the surrounding country side.)

In the afternoon, visit the Thirumalai Nayak Palace – A gracious building in the Indo Saracenic style, famous for the Stucco work on its domes & arches. Overnight Hotel.

14: Madurai – Trichy

Take a relaxed breakfast in the morning at the hotel. Later drive to Trichi. Upon arrival at Trichi, check into the hotel. The day at leisure at the hotel.

15: Trichy

In the morning after breakfast visit Amma Mandapam view various religious ceremonies being performed by people on the banks of River Cauvery with the ashes of their loved ones and visit Srirangam Temple – dedicated to Lord Vishnu check into Jenneys Residency in the evening climb the 437 steps to the Rock Fort Temple known as Uchchi Pillaiyar Temple at sunset for panoramic views over the Cauvery River delta and Srirangam island.

16: Trichy – Tanjore

In the morning after breakfast, drive to Tanjore. Upon arrival at Tanjore, check into the hotel. Afternoon visit the Brahadeeswara Temple witness the huge Nandi made of single granite weighing 25 tons and visit Saraswathi Mahal library and visit to bronze casting unit.

17: Tanjore – Pondichery

Take a relaxed breakfast in the morning at the hotel. Later after fresh & change, drive to Pondichery. Upon arrival at Pondichery, check into the hotel. Rest of the time at leisure at the hotel. Pondichery is old French state still has some French influences.

In the afternoon, visit Sir Aurobindo Ashram, the spiritual tenets of which combine yoga and modern science is quite popular within India and abroad.

18: Pondichery – Chennai

In the morning after breakfast, drive to Chennai. Upon arrival at Chennai, check into the hotel. The rest of the day at leisure at the hotel.

19: Chennai

Take a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Later visit Fort St. George, Kapaleeswara Temple & Chennai Museum. After the city tour, drive back to hotel for fresh & change. Relax till the time of your departure. Later on time, transfer to International Airport to board flight for departure to your own destination.
