Itinerary

1: Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi. Meet and assist and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

2: Delhi

Morning city tour of Old Delhi covering Raj Ghat – the memorial at the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Mosque – the largest Mosque in India and the Red Fort – Once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire. Afternoon tour of New Delhi covering Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, the Qutab Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President’s Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave. Evening free at leisure or watch the ight and sound show in Red fort. Overnight at hotel.

3: Delhi – Agra

Drive from Delhi to Agra (203 Kms / 4.5 hours). Visit Sikandra . On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Agra city visiting the impressive Agra Fort, the local bazaar and of course, the most perfect architectural monument in the world – The Taj Mahal – one of the seven wonders of the world, this beautiful mausoleum in pure white marble, took 22 years and 22,000 craftsmen to build it. This monument was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved consort Mumtaz Mahal. Overnight at the hotel.

4: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Today you will drive to the paradise of birds – Bharatpur (59 K.ms/ 2 hrs). Enoute visit Fatehpur Sirki, the deserted, sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the 16th century. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza the largest gateway in the World. Later continue the drive to Bharatpur. On arrival check in to hotel/ forest lodge.

Afternoon enjoy a Rickshaw ride inside the Sanctuary for Bird Watching. Bharatpur is world renowned for its World Heritage listed Bird Sanctuary, known as Kaladeo Ghana National Park. It is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world inundated with over 400 species of water birds. Exotic migratory birds from Afghanistan, Central Asia , Tibet as well as Siberian cranes, come here in July/August to spend the winters and they breed till October/November. Other common bird life to be seen are cormorants, spoonbills, storks, egrets, herons, pelicans, ibis and herons that can be spotted all over the park. The best time to visit the park is from October to late February when many migratory birds can be spotted. Overnight at hotel.

5: Bharatpur – Ranthambhore National Wildlife Park

Morning after breakfast in hotel and leave for Ranthambore (220 K.ms / 5 hrs). On arrival in Sawai Madhopur check into hotel. In the afternoon embark on a Jeep Safari into the Park for Game Viewing – the most ideal place to spot the tiger. Overnight at hotel.

6: Ranthambore wildlife Sanctuary

In the morning embark on another Game View Jeep/ Elephant Safari into the National Park. After breakfast rest or free for independent activities. In the evening embark for Game View Jeep Safari into the National Park. Overnight at hotel.

7: Ranthamore – Jaipur

Morning drive to Jaipur – the Land of Maharajas (145 K.ms/ 3 hrs), is an exuberance of colour, dance and song with the traditional arts and crafts. Known as the ‘ Pink City ‘ is one of India most well planned cities of India.

On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon visit the Palace of Winds also known as Hawa Mahal, this elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world. Past, present and future merge at Jai Singh’s observatory, where time has been accurately measured since the 17th century. Overnight at hotel.

 

8: Jaipur and Samode excursion

Morning visit Amber Fort, is one that cannot be easily described. Ride up on Elephants to the former capital of the royals set against the backdrop of the wooded hills.

Later excursion to Samode. It is a place of great interest for people who appreciate culture and local arts. The village or town is famous for its magnificent havelis, mansions and handicrafts.

Samode palace belongs to the Rawals of Samode, who do not belong to a royal family but are affluent noblemen. This family was bestowed the title of “Maha Rawal” by the royal family as a reward for their loyalty and courage. The Samode Palace is about four hundred years old and has gone through a lot of restoration work. Many new additions have been made to this old palace, which is now a heritage hotel.

Samode PalaceUpon arrival at Samode Palace, we will provide you tea, coffee and snacks, visit the Sheesh Mahal and then drive for about a kilometer up to the point from where you will be provided Camel Ride for 2 km & reach Samod Bagh (this is a great way to take a tour of the Samode village and check out the local traditions & colours of the town). Enjoy the Sun set view in Desert and drive back to Jaipur hotel for overnight.

9: Jaipur – Delhi drop

Morning after a leisurely breakfast, drive back to Delhi (260 K.ms/ 5 hrs) to connect your Flight / train for onward journey.
