Before you want to book a tour with us, please go through the following terms and conditions and essential travel information mentioned in this website to understand us (Great Indian Journey) better.

How to Book

As soon you are ready to proceed with the reservations and we shall send you our invoice for the 25% of the total tour cost as an advance payment either by Visa, Master Card via our Secure Server or via Telegraphic Transfer to our bank account (details will be provided upon knowing your choice to pay). Balance 75% can even be paid by you upon your arrival on Delhi (unless specified otherwise in certain cases) and can be made using either by Visa, Master Card, Cash or Traveler’s Cheques.

Once you submit the advance payment we would keep you updated of your travel arrangements. You shall have access 24 Hrs to speak to us. You can call us at +91-9810178086.

Amendment

We do not encourage changes in the confirmed arrangements. But if you do need to make amendments in the arrangements already confirmed, we will do all possible to accommodate the changes, depending on the availability of various segments of the tour, for the new requirements. However, the changes will be subject to certain minimum amendment / administration charges.

Cancellation

Should you wish to cancel your tour you must notify Great Indian Journey in writing. Such notification will only be deemed to have been given on receipt of your letter, since we can only act on receipt. The following cancellation charges will apply:

Between 60 – 15 days 75 % of the advance deposited.
Between 15 – 07 days 90 % of the advance deposited.
Less than 7 days to arrival No refund of the advance deposited.

No allowance or refund can be made for meals, rooms, excursions etc., included in the price of your tour but not taken, nor can any refund be made for lost, mislaid or destroyed travel tickets or vouchers.

  • *Palace on Wheels and other Luxury Trains non refundable.
  • *Flight Tickets – NO REFUND.

General Booking Conditions

Passports and Visas

You are required to ensure that your passport and travel documentation is in order and that you have obtained the necessary visas for your journey. Should you require assistance on this matter we will be pleased to make recommendations.

International and Domestic air bookings

Reconfirmation of flight bookings is the responsibility of the traveler. As tour arrangements may be booked to connect with international and domestic air flights it is your responsibility to keep us updated as to your flight times and numbers.

Travel Insurance

You are required to ensure that you are adequately insured for the full duration of the tour in respect of illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, cancellation and curtailment. The choice of insurer is the sole discretion of the client.

Amendments to confirmed arrangements

Great Indian Journey offers its clients customized packages of land and / or air services using various suppliers. The cost of your travel arrangements is subject to the possibility of changes and surcharges beyond our control and may occur in connection with governmental action, currency exchange rate fluctuation and increases in suppliers’ prices. While Great Indian Journey will use its best endeavors to provide all tours as confirmed, reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made with or without notice if deemed necessary or advisable by our experienced staff.

Responsibility

Great Indian Journey shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to person, property in connection with climatic conditions, sea fire, breakdown of machinery or equipment, acts of government or other authorities, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, terrorist activities, or any other actions, omissions or conditions beyond Great Indian Journey’s control. Neither Great Indian Journey nor any of its affiliates or subsidiaries shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses of liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of any of the aforementioned causes.

Law

Your contract with Great Indian Journey and any matters arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Indian Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India.
