Itinerary

1: Arrive Delhi

Arrive at Delhi airport. Meet and assist by our representative and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

2: Delhi

Morning city tour of Old Delhi covering Raj Ghat – the memorial at the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Mosque – the largest Mosque in India and the Red Fort – Once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire. Afternoon tour of New Delhi covering Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, the Qutab Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President’s Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave. Evening free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

3: Fly Delhi – Kathmandu

Morning after breakfast board the flight to Kathmandu. On arrival., meet and assist by our representative and escorted to your prebooked hotel. Afternoon half-day tour of Patan City, Tibetan Refugee Centre and Swayambhunath. Overnight at hotel.

4: Kathmandu

Morning a half-day tour of Kathmandu City, Pashupatinath and Boudhnath, Durbar square etc. Afternon free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

5: Kathmandu

Morning a half-day tour of Bhaktapur City and Thimi Village . Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

6: Fly Kathmandu – Varanasi

Morning flight to Varanasi. On arrival you are met and escorted to your hotel. Later visit Sarnath – the site where Lord Buddha had preached his first sermon or in religious language, set in motion the Wheel of Law (Maha-Dharmachakra-Pravartan) enshrining the principles of his teaching into laws. 200 years later, in 3rd century BC, the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka who spread the Buddha’s message of love and compassion throughout his vast empire, built massive stupas, viharas and monasteries making it the centre of the Buddhist world. Overnight at hotel.

7: Fly Varanasi – Khajuraho

Early morning Boat Cruise on River Ganges to visit the holighats. Later board the flight to Khajuraho. On arrival you are met and escorted to your hotel. Later a half-day visit to the famous Khajuraho Temples covering Kandariya Mahadeo, Lakshmana Temple, Varaha Temple, Mahadev Temple etc. Overnight at hotel.

8: Khajuraho – Orchha – Jhansi (road) – Jhansi – Agra (train)

Morning drive to Jhansi railway station en route visiting Orchha – a village set among a wonderful complex of well preserved palaces and temples. Complementing the notable proportions of the exteriors are the interiors that represent the finest flowering of the Bundela school of painting. Drive on to board train to Agra. On arrival at Agra transfer to hotel for overnight.

9: Agra

Early morning visit to Taj Mahal to enjoy the view in sunrise. Come back to hotel for fresh and wash followed by breakfast. Later sight seeing Agra fort and Sikandra. Afternoon free for shopping in local handicraft market. Overnight at hotel.

10: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (235 kms)

Enoute visit Fatehpur Sirki, the deserted, sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the 16th century. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza the largest gateway in the World. Later continue the drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

11: Jaipur

Morning excursion to visit Amber Fort – is one that cannot be easily described. Ride up on Elephants to the former capital of the royals set against the backdrop of the wooded hills.

Afternoon visit the Palace of Winds also known as Hawa Mahal, this elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could sneak views of the outside world. Past, present and future merge at Jai Singh’s observatory, where time has been accurately measured since the 17th century. Evening visit Chokhi Dhani for Rajasthani Theme evening including VEGETARIAN SIT DOWN (ON THE FLOOR) DINNER. Overnight at hotel.

12: Jaipur – Ajmer / Pushkar (131 kms)

This morning after breakfast drive Ajmer . Arrive Ajmer check in and relax. Later visit Pushkar Temple . For the religiously inclined, the city of Ajmer has the most famous Durgah ( Mosque ) of Khwaja Moinudeen Chisti. Overnight at hotel.

13: Ajmer – Jodhpur (210 kms)

Morning after breakfast drive to Jodhpur . On arrival check in to hotel. Afternoon visit the Mehrangarh fort, Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant thada, Umaid Bhawan. Overnight at hotel.

14: Jodhpur – Udaipur

Morning after breakfast drive to Udaipur , enroute visit the Chau Mukha temple at Ranakpur. This beatifully carved marble temple with 1444 pillars is a photographers delight and no two pillars are alike. Arrive Udaipur late evening check in and relax. Overnight at your hotel.

15: Udaipur

This morning after breakfast proceed for a city tour of Udaipur visiting the City Palace , Jagdish Temple , Saheliyon Ki Bari. Afternoon boat ride on lake Pichola . Overnight stay at your hotel in Udaipur.

16: Udaipur – Mumbai (flight)

Morning flight to Mumbai. On arrival you are met and escorted to your hotel. Afternoon a half-day tour of Mumbai City covering Prince of Wales Museum, Marine Drive , Malabar Hill, etc. Overnight at hotel.

17: Mumbai

Morning visit the Elephanta Caves – located across the sea from the Gateway of India and accessible by ferry is the island of Elephant that has rock-cut cave temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Little is known about their origins but they are thought to have been created between 450 and 750 AD. Afternoon frfee at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

18: Depart Mumbai

Have a leisurely breakfast in our hotel. Later transfer to the airport to board your flight for onward journey.
