The luxury up-graded version of Palace On Wheels started regular operations from Oct 2010 & for season 2010/11 will be covering new North India Travel circuit of jodhpur palaces,udaipur lake city,ranthambhore tiger reserve, jaipur pink city ,kama sutra temples of khajuraho,holy ganges at varanasi & eternal Taj Mahal. The 7 nights train tour departs from Delhi every Sunday (September to April) & you have option to book minimum 4 Nights part journey viz Jaipur to Delhi The Royal rajasthan On Wheels train Tour is a joint collaboration of Indian Railways & State Govt of rajasthan.
Due to increased demand for Palace on Wheels Train Tour ,need was felt to introduce another Palace On Wheels train. This new luxury version of Palace On Wheels train has been branded as Royal rajasthan On Wheels train tour & under the same management. The richly furnished sleeper cabins are more spacious & there is an option to book super deluxe cabins also. There are two retro-bar lounges of 40 seater each. In each of the 13 Passenger wagon there are three deluxe cabins, each with private washrooms & One passenger Wagon offers Two super deluxe cabins. Shortly expected are add on saloons for spa treatments, mini-gym, conference & business centre.
