Itinerary

1: Arrival Bangalore

Arrive Bangalore Airport in the evening or in the afternoon & meet our executive. After meet and greet, transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

2: Bangalore – Mysore

After breakfast, check out and drive to Mysore. A centre of Sandal Wood carving, silk and incense production, 159 KM south west of Bangalore, Mysore, the erstwhile capital of the Wadiyar Rajas, is one of the South India`s most visited places. Mysore is a charming old fashioned and undaunting town, dominated by the spectacular Maharaja’s palace.

In the post lunch session and relaxation, you will visit the palaces of Maharajas designed in the hybrid Indo-Saracenic style by Henry Irwin, the British Consultand architect of Madras State. Later proceed to visit Jaganmohan Palace & Art Gallery, St. Philomena’s cathedral.

3: Mysore – Madumalai

After breakfast, drive to Madumalai along the Mysore – Ooty high way, at the foot-hills of the Nilgiries, lies some of India’s best Elephant country.

In the evening, take a safari in the Madumalai National Park. The Safari bus, operated by the forest department, winds through the forest & comes to a halt in front of a tall stone watch tower. Most of the common wild life can be seen at close range.

4: Madumalai

After breakfast, proceed to visit the Theppakadu Elephant Camp, which one of the biggest Elephant in South India.

The day is free for you to explore the sanctuary & surrounding areas to your heart’s content.

5: Madumalai – Ooty

Early morning drive to Ooty. Ooty, the Scotland of the East, is one of the most popular holiday destinations in South India. Go, discover an Ooty that veils herself in season. Ooty has plenty of attractions, both on & off the beaten path. The botanical garden are well laid out with avenues of shady trees and myriad ornamental plants and flowers.

But the main attraction here is the fossilized tree trunk- all of 20 million yrs old.

6: Ooty

Move through the tea gardens spread like a green carpet over 100 of Kms. Lush green hills all around – a place difficult to describe. The rose gaden, a top a hill off is all of 10 acres. During winter when the 1919 varieties of Roses of all hues are out, a stroll in this scented garden is an unforgettable experience.

John Sulliban, the first collector & virtual founder of Ooty constructed 2 & half KM long artificial Lake in 1824. There is a charming Lake Garden, a Jetty, snack bar, pony & Toy Train, rides on offer for the kiddies. Other attractions are Raj Bhawan & St. Stephen’s Church.

7: Ooty – Cochin

After breakfast, Cochin through Coimbatore. Like a bashful bride, she blushes, when you call he the Queen of the Arabian Sea. She offers and enchanting vista of Old Kerala, along with mementos of her European guests. On arrival, check into the hotel.

8: Cochin

After breakfast, proceed for city tour which includes the visit of Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jew Town, Old Spice Market, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica & Chinese Fishing Net.

In the evening visit the famous Kathakali Dance Show.

9: Cochin – Alleppey

In the morning after breakfast, drive to Alleppey (about 65 km). Upon arrival, check into the House Boat for a back water cruise into the canals of Vembanad Lake to see the traditional Kerala Village Life remained unchanged for many years. Overnight at House Boat ( you will be served all your meals in the house boat ).

10: Kumarakam – Kovalam

In the morning after breakfast, dis-embark from the house boat at Kumarakam, pickup by our car and drive to Kovalam. On arrival, check into the hotel. Kovalam is just 16 KM away from Trivandram. Thirty years ago Kovalam was a hippy idyll: a picture perfect tropical beach, a traditional fishing village providing fresh fish, fruits and Coconut beer.

Today Kovalam beach is known as the Paradise of the South & figures prominently on the world tourism map. The world Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees.

11: Kovalam

Explore the day at leisure at the beach at your own.

12: Covalam – Trivandram – Your Own Destination

In the morning take a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. The day at leisure. Free for independependent activities. Later in the evening, transfer to Trivandram Airport to board flight for departure to your own destination.
